"In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield." — Warren Buffett

Lance Millar, Financial Advisor, believes that the most important service he can provide to the Weiss clients he works with is to help them consistently implement strategies toward their unique financial goals. He believes that investors often look only in one direction — backward — instead of forward, when making financial decisions. Although markets will react differently to outside influences (economic indicators, earnings reports, geopolitical events, etc.), investors are more likely to meet and exceed their goals when they rely on active management to help ensure their portfolios are properly positioned.

An experienced investment industry professional, Lance has held positions in the Wealth Management division of UBS and with Wachovia Securities. Prior to these roles, Lance worked for 10 years in the “paratransit” industry where he helped provide transportation services to the disabled and elderly. This earlier career and the managerial, professional and interpersonal skills he developed are valuable tools Lance relies on in his work with Weiss clients.

Lance was born in Oregon, grew up in California and lived a number of years in Berlin, Germany before relocating to south Florida. Conversant in German, Lance enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.

Lance Millar received a Bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of California, Davis and holds multiple FINRA securities licenses, including Series 66 and Series 7, as well as the Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity insurance licenses.
