Income Programs
Weiss Diversified Income Builder
Moderate Risk
The Weiss Diversified Income Builder is a 100% fixed-income mutual fund-based program which has a primary objective to produce ordinary income yield in excess of 1.5 percent to 2 percent greater than the average yield of the 5-year U.S. Treasury note, with an emphasis on principal stability.
This program is a mutual fund-based strategy designed to deliver a high level of current income. This moderate-risk program is suitable for investors who, in addition to seeking income, are also looking for global diversification.
This moderate-risk program invests in open- and closed-end mutual funds that hold both domestic and international bonds, stocks, convertibles and many other income-producing securities based on the current interest-rate environment and where we see the greatest values.
Because we participate in a ‘no-transaction fee’ mutual-fund platform, we have access to a wide universe of funds, and their managers, without paying a sales load to buy these funds.
Weiss Diversified Income Plus Program
Moderate Risk
The Weiss Diversified Income Plus Program shares a similar objective to produce consistent income as the Weiss Diversified Income Program, but combines it with a modest allocation to specialty stock mutual funds for capital appreciation potential …
Aims for 80% allocation to income-producing investments combined with an up to 20% equity component to give you the potential for additional growth.
The program is a mutual fund-based strategy designed to deliver a higher level of current income than a portfolio of U.S. Treasury bills and bonds, with the opportunity for growth of principal using an equity component.
Each mutual fund selection is dynamically monitored based on factors such as: fund performance, overall market conditions, our economic outlook, and others. We make substitutions as we feel necessary.
Funds with greater price stability, lower volatility (risk) and fund expenses as compared to their peer group are preferred and included in the program, whenever possible.
Because we participate in a ‘no-transaction fee’ mutual-fund platform, we have access to a wide universe of funds, without paying a sales load to buy these funds.
Weiss Managed Treasury Program
Conservative
The Weiss Managed Treasury Program seeks higher returns than pure money market instruments alone, while striving to provide maximum safety and liquidity to the risk-averse investor …
Because U.S. Treasury obligations are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government, the Weiss Managed Treasury Program may be suitable for risk-averse investors.
In a rising interest rate environment, we invest in shorter-term U.S. Treasury securities and in money market funds that primarily hold U.S. Treasury and government securities, offering the benefit of higher yields as they become available, while helping protect principal.
In a falling interest-rate environment, we invest a portion of the portfolio in mid- and longer-term U.S. Treasury obligations to lock in higher yields with the objective of capital appreciation.
